We are seeking an experienced and highly consultative Sales Director to drive revenue growth for our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities with new and existing clients. As a subject matter expert in professional development and upskilling/reskilling, you will leverage your industry knowledge and network to position our company's solutions as the premier choice for organizations seeking to enhance their workforce's skills and capabilities. This role reports to the VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and leveraging your existing industry contacts and relationships.

  • Conduct consultative sales meetings and presentations to understand clients' professional development needs, challenges, and goals, and tailor our solutions accordingly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of our services and resources, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in professional development, upskilling, and reskilling to position our company as a thought leader.

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of our clients' industries and the competitive landscape.

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of successful sales experience, preferably within the professional development, training, or related industries.

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.

  • Extensive knowledge of professional development trends, upskilling/reskilling strategies, and workforce development initiatives.

  • Excellent consultative selling skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and position solutions effectively.

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to interact with executive-level clients.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

In the U.S., the base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Additionally offered are a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
