Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, functional testing automation, end-to-end, and API testing. With a proven track record in building test automation frameworks and leading agile teams, the SDET QA Manager will drive the quality assurance strategy, ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the QA Automation team, setting goals, and prioritizing work to align with company objectives.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy, including automation and manual testing processes to cover end-to-end, integration, and unit testing.

  • Oversee the design and development of automated testing utilizing modern test frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to identify core functionalities for test automation and integrate QA processes into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and facilitate continuous learning and development within the QA team.

  • Optimize test processes for efficiency and effectiveness, including test data management and test environment setup.

  • Implement best practices for test automation, ensuring tests are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in software testing and test automation, introducing innovative tools and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Manage documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results to support product development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development and QA, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress.io, Selenium WebDriver, Postman, Newman, and Protractor.

  • Strong programming skills, preferably in JavaScript, and familiarity with Node.js.

  • Proficient in API testing, load/performance testing (e.g., K6, JMeter), and integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Devops, CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild). 

    Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

    Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.

    Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.

 

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $130,000 to $ 150,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
