Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Junior Developer/QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Senior Engineers, receiving mentorship and guidance as you support the development and testing efforts of our software projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career in software development and quality assurance. You will gain hands-on experience in coding, testing, and documentation while contributing to the overall quality and success of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers to understand project requirements and assist in the development and testing processes.
  • Create and execute manual test plans, ensuring thorough testing coverage for functional changes.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts, test data, and test environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Document technical specifications, test plans, and test results in a clear and organized manner.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues, working closely with Senior Engineers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and testing processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements where appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server and 
  • 2+ years experience with .NET and C#.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Ability to create and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a small team and willingness to learn from Senior Engineers.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, MSTest).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
