The Role 

We are seeking a Head of Sales (U.S.) — an emerging sales leader ready to take ownership of a book of business while building and mentoring a small but high-performing sales team. This is an ideal role for someone who has grown within a SaaS company, progressing from an individual contributor into leadership, and thrives on combining hands-on selling with strategic leadership. You’ll be responsible for expanding Author-it’s presence in North America, driving new customer acquisition, and developing key accounts across enterprise and mid-market segments. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and grow a personal book of business across new and existing enterprise customers. • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of sales professionals to exceed revenue goals. • Build scalable sales processes, metrics, and reporting to support predictable growth. 
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to drive cohesive GTM strategies. 
  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, and positioning initiatives in collaboration with leadership. • Leverage the PE's groups investment support to expand into new industry verticals and geographies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers — staying close to product adoption and value realization. 
  • Represent at conferences, webinars, and industry events as a thought leader and brand ambassador. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5–10 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with progressive advancement into leadership. • Track record of building and closing enterprise or mid-market SaaS deals. • Experience managing or mentoring a small sales team while maintaining personal quotas. 
  • Strong understanding of consultative, solution-based selling to technical or content/IT buyers. 
  • Proven ability to scale revenue and process in high-growth SaaS environments. • Comfort working cross-functionally in a global organization. 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and motivated by building toward a larger leadership role.
