Role Description:

A successful applicant must have:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Decision Sciences, or an analytical STEM field plus two years of experience or any suitable and equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Superb oral and written communication skills, including teaching/presentation skills and experience creating course materials and/or presentations

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the lifecycle of statistical and machine learning models, encompassing data preparation, technique selection, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and performance.

  • At least 3 years of experience building data science and machine learning applications with Python, including use of Pandas, scikit-learn, Seaborn, and Keras

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in natural language processing, text extraction, and related engineering

  • At least 1 year of experience with CNN, RNN, GAN, NLP, LLM

  • Strong knowledge of statistical techniques with the ability to read/revise/review statistical software programs

  • Ability to develop models and interpret model results

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

 

The following are desirable for this role:

  • A PhD (completed or in progress) in a quantitative field with experience working as a key contributor in a data science team

  • Strong knowledge in: Regression, Classification, Machine Vision, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Statistical Modeling.

  • Experience delivering products based on Transformer Architecture in any domain, such as NLP, Computer Vision, Audio and Multimodal and Multitask setup.

  • Knowledge of different Transformer variants, including pros and cons

  • Experience training and building models on AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 
  • Visioning new course offerings in the data science/AI/ML space, managing our data science curriculum and instructor team to design and manage building such offerings, and driving successful adoption of these offerings with clients through close collaboration with marketing, sales, and the clients themselves. Note that mostly architecting of course development tasks is needed as we have courseware developers who will work alongside this role to develop content

  • Ensuring that our course offerings in this space reflect modern best practice and are kept up-to-date.

  • When needed, conduct the initial teaching of new content to ensure it meets client needs.

  • Establish thought leadership in ML, AI, and Generative AI education through conference appearances, webinars, and articles.

  • Support our trusted sales advisors in pre- and post-sales interactions with top clients seeking to upskill/reskill their workforces in these technologies.

  • Support our marketing teams as they work to communicate our data science/AI/ML course offerings to prospective clients.

  • Vet prospective ML and AI instructors and work with existing data science instructors to build their ML and AI skills.

  • Work with the CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and other key leaders to drive adoption of AI/ML technologies for internal use to improve the company’s operations.

This role reports to the President of Instructional Content.

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
