The Role:
As a Director of Finance, you’ll be responsible for overseeing FP&A (financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management). This role will play a key role on the leadership team and will report to the CFO.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.

Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.

Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to senior management.

Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast while providing variance analyses.
Budget Management:

Facilitate the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to prepare departmental budgets.

Monitor budget implementation and recommend adjustments as needed.

Ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.

Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards.

Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Financial Strategy:

Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Monitor and manage investment and capital expenditure decisions.
Team Leadership and Development:

Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (management accountants, internal auditors etc.)

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the finance department.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Proven experience (typically 8-10 years) in a senior financial management role, preferably as Director of Finance or similar.

Strong analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with the ability to influence decisions and drive change.

Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $157,000 to $197,000 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
